Routes........ To and From New Eastside
These recommended routes have been tested by residents in our community. Please submit new and/or better suggestions to neweastside@hotmail.com ......and they will be reviewed and published on this webpage. Thank you for helping to make our little corner of the world a great place to call "home".
TO KENNEDY EXPRESSWAY....From Upper Randolph and Upper Field, you have 2 choices:
1) North down FIELD Drive, and around the park to Lower Lower WACKER. Then west to the ramp on the right side, and UP to Lower Wacker (just beyond Lower Columbus). Merge with westbound traffic on Wacker, staying in the right lane to Lower MICHIGAN....
OR 2) Drive west on Upper RANDOLPH to Columbus. Turn right (north) on Upper Columbus to the stop sign at SOUTH WATER. Then turn left (west) down the ramp to Middle STETSON. Right turn (north) to Lower WACKER. Left turn (west) to Lower MICHIGAN....
...Then Turn right (north) on Lower Michigan and proceed to GRAND Avenue. Left turn (west) to ORLEANS. Right turn to ONTARIO. Left turn (west) to the Kennedy ramp.
FROM KENNEDY EXPRESSWAY....Exit at OHIO to ORLEANS. Right turn (south) to ILLINOIS. Left turn (east) to LOWER MICHIGAN. Right turn (south) to Lower WACKER. Left turn (east) to Middle STETSON. Right turn to SOUTH WATER. Left turn UP South Water Ramp to Upper COLUMBUS. Right turn (south) to Upper RANDOLPH. Left turn (east) on Upper Randolph. WELCOME HOME.

TO CONGRESS EXPRESSWAY.... Proceed to Lower Wacker and Lower Michigan via either 1) or 2) above...
...Then straight west on LOWER WACKER following the Chicago River around to the south. Stay on the right to the ramp leading UP to the west bound lanes of Congress.
FROM CONGRESS EXPRESSWAY....After going over the river, stay on the RIGHT and follow the ramp DOWN to LOWER WACKER. Then drive north and follow the river around to the east to LOWER STETSON. Turn right (south) to SOUTH WATER. Left turn UP ramp to Upper COLUMBUS. Right turn (south) to Upper RANDOLPH. Left turn on Upper Randolph - -WELCOME HOME.
