The required "temporary" Petrillo Band Shell has never been taken down in the off-season.
When built in 1891, the Art Institute was limited to 400 foot frontage on Michigan Avenue. It has expanded 700% with the recent addition of the Modern Wing.
Another proposal was similar to the Millennium Park Oval.
